30/05/24: Town Unveil New First Team Manager

The club is delighted to unveil Dale Clark as our First Team Manager.

Dale is a former player with Newport County, Merthyr and Cinderford, and in recent years has forged a hugely successful coaching career including promotions at Aberbargoed Buds and Newport Corinthians. He has also coached Abergavenny Town and Barry Town Ladies at the highest level of the women's pyramid.

Dale is a Torfaen local and a UEFA B Licence holder, and is looking forward to the challenge of getting the club back amongst the elite of domestic Welsh football.

Of the appointment, club President Dan O'Connell said: "We have moved early to secure the services of such a talented coach as Dale. Only a couple of years ago our club was on the brink of extinction but with the hard work of many people we have managed to progress and are now on the front foot with a very promising future.

Appointing Dale is a critical step to getting the club once again amongst the elite of Welsh football. We will back Dale and support him unequivocally for the challenge ahead."

On accepting the role, Dale Clark said: "I am delighted to have been given this great opportunity to become manager of Cwmbrân Town, a club rich with great history.

I will do everything I can to help the club realise its vision to be back in the top three tiers of the Welsh pyramid. I am excited to start my first managerial position at such a great club and will look to use the experience I have gained working under previous managers to help us achieve our goal.

I am looking forward to getting started and meeting the lads, with plans well under way for the season ahead in what I hope will be the start of a journey to success!"

Welcome to the Crows, Dale!
