14/06/26: Kristian Hanbury Joins Coaching Team

The club is delighted to welcome Kristian Hanbury to the coaching team ahead of the new season.

Kristian is no stranger to the club, having represented Cwmbrân Town in the Welsh Premier League for several seasons. He made 92 appearances in total, scoring 15 goals.

Following his playing career, Kristian served his country in the British Army, completing a tour of Afghanistan - a chapter that speaks volumes about his character, discipline, and leadership qualities that he now brings to the dugout.

Returning to football, Kristian has spent the past five years developing the next generation of players at grassroots level, building a reputation as a dedicated and knowledgeable coach. He is currently completing his UEFA B Licence, underlining his commitment to developing his craft at the highest level.

On re-joining the Crows, Kristian said:

"I'm absolutely delighted to be re-joining Cwmbrân Town as part of the coaching team and I can't wait to get started. This club holds a real special place for me. I played here during our time in the Welsh Premier League and those are memories I've never forgotten - so to come back in a coaching capacity means a great deal. The ambition at this club is clear to see and I can't wait to get started."

New First Team Manager, Brandon Simpson said:

"I am absolutely delighted to welcome Kris to our coaching staff. When you're building a management team, you look for individuals who not only possess high-level technical capability but who also understand the culture of the club.

Having a former player return to the club gives us that vital connection to the club's identity, and his UEFA B License is a testament to his quality and dedication as a coach. I'm really looking forward to working closely with him as we drive standards and prepare the squad for the season ahead."
