30/05/26: Dale Clark Steps Down
It is with deep regret that, following last night’s match, Dale Clark informed the club of his decision to step down as manager due to work and family commitments.
Dale’s decision came as a shock to everyone at the club and, despite our efforts to persuade him to continue in the role, he was adamant that this was the right decision for him and his family. While we are naturally disappointed, we fully support his choice, as family life will always be more important than football.
Dale has dedicated many years to the game as a player, coach and manager, and a well-earned break is thoroughly deserved. As well as thanking Dale for his outstanding contribution, we would also like to thank his wife, Emily, and their children, who have made countless sacrifices while football has taken priority. We hope they can now enjoy some well-deserved time together as a family.
Dale joined the club at the start of the 2024/25 season and immediately guided us to an unbeaten league title-winning campaign, alongside a remarkable cup double. This season, he led the team to within touching distance of promotion to the Cymru South, narrowly falling short after a campaign that exceeded all expectations.
Dale, thank you for your dedication, commitment and hard work during your time at the club. You will be greatly missed, but you will always be welcome back as part of the Crows family.
Everyone at the club wishes you and your family the very best for the future.

Dale had this message:
"I’ve made the difficult decision to step down as manager of Cwmbrân Town. It’s not a decision I have taken lightly but this is purely a personal decision, having been coaching and manager for the last seven seasons. It has been a relentless, although an enjoyable and an amazing experience, I feel it’s time to take some time away from football and enjoy time with my family. Coupled with the increase in work commitments, I don’t feel I can give my full commitment to the role and the club which is deserves.
The two seasons I have been at Cwmbrân Town have been amazing, and it's unbelievable what we have achieved in a short space of time. To every player who’s represented the club, thank you for putting the club back where it belongs and for everything you have given me during my time here. To my coaching staff, Coxy, Jeppo, Hanratty and John, thank you for all your hard work and commitment and the advice you have given me, and good luck in your next adventure with the club.
The committee, your hard work off the pitch has enabled us to progress through the leagues and gaining a Tier 2 licence is credit to the hard work you have put in.
To Dan and Jen, thank you for trusting me to manage this amazing football club and giving me the help and support when I needed it. Your hard work and commitment has put Cwmbrân back where it belongs, and more importantly we have become friends for life.
I wish Cwmbrân Town every success and hope they go one better next season and become champions again!
Thank you!"

The thoughts of our Chairman, Dan O'Connell:
"As manager of our great club, Dale oversaw two consecutive league campaigns without suffering a home defeat. His record over 60 league games is 48 victories, eights draws and just four defeats. It's a truly remarkable record that means Dale is up there with the likes of Tony Wilcox as one of the greatest managers we have ever had.
It’s been my pleasure and privilege to work with Dale, and more importantly, to have gained a dear friend for life."
